If you need help when we are closed

Please contact NHS 111 for medical advice outside surgery hours.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy – if your query is of a non-urgent nature and you can wait until the surgery reopens, we advise you to use our Online Consultation service instead and get a response from the practice before the end of the next working day.

NHS 111 can help if you have an urgent medical problem and you’re not sure what to do. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you can get help online or on the phone.

If you have difficulties communicating or hearing, you can:

  • call 18001 111 on a textphone
  • use the NHS 111 British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter service if you’re deaf and want to use the phone service

Physical accessibility

We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for disabled patients. There is access via a ramp from the Crown Heights estate to the medical centre front door; there are lifts from the car park and the ground floor to the first floor, and the surgery has a wheelchair available for use in the surgery.

Hearing Difficulties

If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room. Alternatively, we do have the facility of a portable induction loop. If you would like to use this, please ask at reception for assistance.
