Changes to Online requests

We are moving to Anima!……

At Crown Heights Medical Centre we are always looking for ways to improve the service we provide to our patients. As part of this commitment, we will be moving from Klinik to Anima from 08:00am on 24 September 2026. Klinik will close to us and patients as of 18:30 on 23rd September. We understand that any change can feel unfamiliar, but we are confident that Anima will provide a more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly way for patients to contact the practice and receive the care they need.

Why Are We Moving Away from Klinik?

Klinik has supported the practice well in managing patient requests, but as demand for GP services continues to grow, we need a system that better supports both our patients and practice team.

Following a review of our online access systems, we have chosen Anima because it offers enhanced functionality, improved workflow management, and a more streamlined patient experience.

We have chosen Anima because it offers:

Improved Patient Access – Anima provides a simple online route for patients to contact the practice, request help, and receive support without needing to wait on the telephone.

Faster Responses – By gathering the right information from the start, Anima helps reduce delays and allows our team to direct requests to the most appropriate clinician or service.

More efficient use of NHS recourses – The system helps ensure appointments are used appropriately and that patients receive the right care from the right healthcare professional first time.

Improved patient experience – Anima has been designed to be easy to use on smartphones, tablets, and computers, making it more convenient for patients to access care.

Questions you may have:

Will I Still Be Able to Telephone the Practice?

Yes. Patients who are unable to use online services or who require assistance can continue to contact the practice by telephone. Our reception team will remain available to support patients and can help submit requests on your behalf where appropriate.

We remain committed to ensuring that access to healthcare is available for all patients, including those who are less confident using digital technology.

Can I still request appointments?

Yes. If an appointment is the most appropriate option, the practice team will arrange this following review of your request.

What if my problem is urgent?

Urgent requests should still be submitted through Anima where available. For medical emergencies, always call 999 or attend A&E.

Can someone complete a request for me?

Yes. Parents, carers and representatives can submit requests on behalf of patients where appropriate.

Will Anima replace face-to-face appointments?

No. Face-to-face appointments will continue to be available when clinically required. Anima simply helps us identify the best way to help you.
