Bowel Cancer Screening campaign

Bowel cancer survival is improving and has more than doubled in the last 40 years in the UK.

If diagnosed early, more than 90% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully.

Bowel screening is designed to pick up early signs of bowel cancer.  Small samples of poo are collected and checked to see if there is any blood present.  This may be an early sign of bowel cancer, and if detected at this early stage, treatment has a much better chance of working.
