Appointment attendance – Please read

To provide a safe, efficient, and high-quality service, all appointments are carefully scheduled and clinician time is allocated specifically for you.

Recently, we have seen a significant increase in patients arriving late for appointments. This is impacting our ability to offer timely care to all patients.

We ask all patients to arrive at least 10 minutes before their appointment time.

We are aware that parking, queues, and check-in systems can occasionally cause delays. However, patients are expected to plan ahead and allow sufficient time for arrival.

Late Arrival Policy

If you arrive late:

  • You may not be seen. It is at the clinicians discretion whether they are able to see you. If you are late by more than 50% of the appointment length, you will NOT be seen.
  • Your appointment may be recorded as a Did Not Attend (DNA)
  • You may be required to rebook

This applies regardless of the reason for lateness.

Why This Matters

Late arrivals and DNAs:

  • Reduce appointment availability for patients who arrive on time
  • Delay care for others
  • Place unnecessary pressure on clinical services

We often find that delays are attributed to parking, queues, or check-in, rather than late arrival.
To ensure fairness for all patients, we must apply this policy consistently.

A Shared Responsibility

We are committed to providing you with dedicated, timely care.
In return, we ask that you respect your appointment time and our clinicians’ schedules.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us provide the best possible service to all patients.
