Family Planning and Cervical Smears

Please book via the receptionist, with the doctor or the nurse for either of these services. You need to ensure that you are midway through your cycle at the time of your smear.

Maternity Care

Once pregnancy is confirmed, you should make an initial booking appointment with your midwife.

Your midwife will offer advice and runs clinics for antenatal monitoring.

Deliveries are at The North Hampshire Hospital. It is important to have a postnatal check 6 weeks after the birth.

Please telephone the surgery for further information.

District nurses

District nurses visit those who are housebound through illness or disability. They can advise relatives and friends about caring for the elderly or infirm. There are no District nurses directly employed at the practice.

Practice nurses

The practice nurses run clinics for diabetes, heart disease, asthma monitoring, weight checks, smears, blood pressure checks, flu clinics, travel advice and injections (Please allow 8 weeks before traveling to attend your first appointment), baby vaccinations, blood tests, contraception, dressings and various other treatments. Please let reception know what you are seeing the practice nurse for, so they can ensure that they allocate you enough time for your care to be carried out.

Blood samples arranged by your doctor can be taken by our experienced phlebotomist between 8.30am and midday.
